Dates

I don't think I posted the below pictures of Ginny with a grasshopper.  They were from August but I like them because she's adorable and also because it reminds me of a typical day here.  After breakfast, we all went outside while I cleaned the car and Aaron mowed the lawn.  The kids played around us and we even caught the biggest grasshopper I have ever seen!

We are settling into a better routine here.  The boys' preschool offers drop off so I can just pull up front and teachers come out and walk the boys to their class.  I don't know WHY they give me such a hard time when I walk them in- they forget how to walk and cause a scene but their teachers tell me they prance right in smiling with no issues when I drop them off.  Stinkers.. I know they are really enjoying it and that makes me so happy.  I only have a couple hours before having to pick them up so I head home and let Ginny nap.  Aaron set up his workout stuff in the basement and I have been enjoying working out in that time, doing my chores and meal preps, or even just relaxing by myself for a bit.  I think it's good for everyone.

Gin literally tries to do everything the boys do.  My favorite thing is when the boys want a snack, they get themselves a bowl and start raiding the pantry.  Ginny now gets herself a bowl too, and holds it up with this precious look on her face like she's desperate for a snack.  I love it.
Mason completing an obstacle course in OT.  (Hopping on the squeaky color mats, riding the scooter to some puzzle pieces, then putting the pieces in the puzzle while on a bosu ball.  It helps with motor planning, and listening to directions.  He learns best in active environments like this.)
At Gin's 15 month appointment, the pediatrician suggested one minute timeouts for naughty deliberate behavior.  I thought she was a little nuts but Miss Thang has earned herself a few timeouts and they WORKED.  She was a little defiant at first, but after she whacked her brother on the head with a toy and laughed about it, she spent a minute in the corner and then immediately apologized.  (By hugging.)
One of us is REALLY excited about our Mama Bear and Baby Bear matching shirts.  I had an old friend from High School make them for us. :)
I love Genevieve.  I am completely obsessed with her.  I love special dates with just her and I also love it when we do one on one days with the boys.  Ginny usually joins me and one guy because Aaron most likely will take his guy on an adventure that might be a little much for a little one.  I haven't had as much time with JUST my boyfriends.  Today Aaron slept because he had worked overnight so when I put Ginny down for a nap, my dudes and I snuck out.  We went out to eat (they wanted rice so we went to Chipotle) and then we went to the zoo.  I can handle two just fine, haha but I'm not ashamed to admit going out alone in public with three kids is a whole different ball park.
The train ride, one of their favorite parts of the Columbus Zoo.

If you want to hear some serious talking, just take these guys to the zoo.  They know all the animals and all the sounds they make and they get so excited.  It was a great day with them and I'm really glad we went out on a date.  (When we returned home, we found Ginny and her Daddy had snuck out on a date too.  They went walking around the outdoor mall and out to eat.)
