Springing Forward

We are loving the nicer weather.  The rain and winter weather has never really bothered me but I'm excited to play with the boys outside without freezing.  At school, they have a 15 minute recess outside everyday close to the time we pick them up so I always park where they can't see me and watch them play.  They so clearly love it so lately I have been throwing them in the backyard for even just a few minutes each day.  William is getting really good at riding his little bike and Mason really loves to explore and look at bugs and trees and stuff.

They are so sweet.  I have been finding stuff in the strangest places lately- toothbrushes in the laundry, toys in the heater vents, food stashes under the couches.  I really like how creative and imaginative they are becoming.  They help with some chores such as taking out the recycling and helping to clean up their spills but I really need to teach them to pick up the disaster that waits for me in the living room every night when they go to bed.

We took them to the zoo and stood back with pride as the boys played in the middle of a large group of kids.  We remembered back to the first time we took them to a park and Mason refused to play while William crawled underneath the structure and looked terrified.  They are still shy and don't love strangers, which is totally fine, but they are much more outgoing and willing to try new things with new people.  They seem to always be smiling and laughing too, which I love so much.

We had so much fun at the zoo, that we went again the next day.  We heard a lot of words like bear, wolf, bird, bus and Mason even lovingly said, "Mom, stop!" when I was trying to pull him out of the reindeer exhibit.  Yesterday when Aaron left for work and was saying good bye to William, William very clearly said, "I love you, Dad."  (Aaron might have cried a little).  ;)
W loved the sharks and ran between peoples legs to follow them around the tank
