| Fair food caught up with us so here they are relaxing with Dad |
William and Mason know words that I swear I've never taught them or even said. But they KNOW them. (I know they know them because they communicate to me that they do with pointing and grunting and frantically yelling in twin talk). I cringe at what I may have said around them and I admit that I have underestimated their ability to understand because they don't TALK to me. I adore their twin speech but I long to talk with them. I desperately want to hear the words they know and I can only imagine how beautiful their voices are.
William's first word was, "LION." He repeated it many times while Aaron was reading him a story when he was about a year old. (I was so proud that I think my over excitement seriously might have freaked WillBill out a bit). Mason's first word was, "BIRD" and he said it just a few days ago. It was so beautiful, I cried.

| The boys were captivated by something outside and that's when Mason very clearly said, "bird" |
We selected an organization for Speech Therapy and are waiting patiently for our evaluations. We can't wait- it will be so good for them. And I can't wait to for them to talk to me. :)
Things are going well here. I try daily to get the boys to take a nap but I think they are done forever. I'm not ready! For some reason, I thought I still had like another year! They don't throw fits when I put them in jammies and tuck them into bed so every day I'm hopeful, but, no...napping definitely isn't happening. At night time, they march me to the bath when they are tired and then hop in their beds happily though so I can't complain. Almost every night I find them on the floor. They purposely move their pillows and blankets to the floor and camp out, especially Mason. They still call for us to come get them but every now and then, Mason lets himself out early and we find him in the living room waiting for us. I LOVE the mornings when Aaron is home and they charge in our bedroom to wake him up. (He pretends to be asleep and they are so happy to see him). It really is the cutest thing.
I made them special book shelves using spice racks that I painted. Unfortunately, I think I am the only one excited about it:

| I showed Mason the new wall and he was way more interested in legos. They LOVE books but they just seem to prefer them scattered around every corner of the house! |
 |
| William's new hangout place. Now if I ever can't find him, I know to just check the sink because he's probably brushing his teeth. |

We started doing time outs to try to help with a certain baby's biting problem. But honestly, it is so hard not to laugh. When we tell Mason he needs to sit in timeout for biting, he waves bye bye and takes a seat happily. Then when we count aloud and get close to 30, he starts dancing like he knows time is almost up. When William was in timeout and we told him he couldn't move off the chair, he stretched his little leg out with tippy toes just to test us. He had so much fun with it, he put himself in timeout a little while later! I think it might be working though...they seem to understand they need to apologize once timeout is over.

I tried to claim a corner of the house as a spot of my very own...but was quickly taken over. W reading his favorite book. |

| M, W playing outside. You have to Shhh when a train comes |
 |
| M, W lake day at my Mom's |
Love.
